«Young people, faith and vocational discernment»

12 february 2018

From 1 to 3 December 2017, the 1st Congress on Vocations Ministry took place in the Pontifical Athenaeum Apostolorum in Rome under the theme: «Young people, faith and vocational discernment!». Five of our Sisters were present. And, more than 800 participants from all over the world, consecrated people and members of Secular Institutes!

Pope Francis 'provoked us' with a message that was the background of all the work developed. The message is in the site:

After all that has been experienced in this Congress we feel called:

• To live our consecration in fidelity, assuming each of us as an agent of vocation ministry;

• To value intergenerational communion as a witness of happiness, capable of uniting the wisdom of the older Sisters with the prophecy of the younger Sisters;

• To trust that today's youth are able to welcome Jesus Christ, regardless of their personal and / or family circumstances;

• To make young people feel the love of God, and with our help respond generously to what He calls them to live as a vocation in the Church.

In the end, we were faced with the challenge of continuing to «ask the Lord of the harvest to send workers into his harvest.»
